About 4–5 years old · Must be the only animal

Meet Tyson

Meet Tyson—a loving boy with a big smile and a heart ready for a fresh start! 🐾

Tyson came to us as a stray. He is approximately four to five years old and believed to be a pit bull mix. His exact breed and age aren’t known, but one thing is clear: he is very friendly with people and has so much affection to share.

Tyson must live in a home with NO other animals. No dogs, cats, or other pets. This is a firm requirement for his placement.

Tyson has shown food aggression and can become intensely focused on toys. He needs a patient, experienced adopter who understands resource guarding, can recognize and safely manage potentially aggressive situations, and will provide consistent guidance.

Behind those needs is a sweet, loving dog who deserves someone willing to understand him. With the right match, Tyson can begin his next chapter in a carefully chosen fur-ever home.

We’ll share more about his behavior and care needs with interested adopters before considering placement.

Our story

A caring place.
A new beginning.

A tan rescue dog wearing a pink collar, resting comfortably among soft blankets

Mountain View Rescue Paws & Training is based in Higdon, in DeKalb County, Alabama.

Our mission

We believe transformation begins with patience, compassion, and one caring connection at a time. Our mission is to give every dog the support they need to heal, the skills they need to thrive, and the opportunity to become the loving companion they were meant to be.

Ultimately, our greatest reward is seeing a rescue dog leave our care and begin a new chapter with a loving family. We work toward one beautiful outcome: a safe, lasting adoption and a FUR-ever home where every dog can be cherished, celebrated, and truly belong.

Because every paw has a story, every heart deserves hope, and every dog deserves a place to call home.

We’re developing our nonprofit structure to help sustain that work. Verified organization and donation information will be added as it becomes available.
